Introduction to Arabic Grammar and Morphology

This course introduces students to foundational concepts in grammar (nahu) and morphology (sarf) through the study of various classical and modern texts, such as Ajrumiya and Sharh Mi’a ‘Amil.

Nahu and sarf rules will be reinforced through a close reading of Shaykh Abu Al-Hasan Al-Nadwi’s leveled reader, Stories of the Prophets. 

By the end of this three-trimester sequence, students will have a strong foundation in Quranic Arabic.
